A travel notice on a debit or credit card notifies us about your upcoming travel plans. It ensures that your card transactions at your travel destination during specified dates are not flagged as fraudulent or suspicious, which could lead to declined card transactions.
The following conditions apply to travel notices:
- Members can only set travel notes on ATM, debit or credit cards in an active state (cards cannot be locked or pending).
- Only international notices are available (not domestic).
- Only one travel notice (one date range) can be set at a time, but the notice can contain multiple destinations.
- Travel notes only apply to consumer accounts, not business accounts.
To set a travel notice:
Step 1 – Navigate to the “Cards” section of the Platform. If in Online banking, select Tools, Cards or under the name menu, select Settings, Cards. If in Mobile banking, select More, Cards.
Step 2 – On the page that appears, the user’s available cards will be displayed.
Step 3 – Users can proceed to set a travel note. If in Online banking, select Manage and in the side panel that appears and select Set travel notice. If in Mobile banking, select a card, then select Set travel notice.
